Brief: To assist in shaping the elevations, openings and roof forms of an owner-built house while under construction.
The owner's intention was to create a large family home where the design would evolve through the process of building using materials from the site as much as possible. The result is a building that follows the curve rather than the straight line.
The roofs, windows and doors mimic the undulating form of the house and become the eyes and mouth of the building that further add to its unique quality.
The roof and latte trellis' are designed with optimal overhangs to ensure good thermal stability inside and outside the house.
