Brief: To extend the ground-floor and add a double-storey to a house.
The new wing is built from an innovative light-weight steel system. This system enables easy on-site assembly and significantly reduced construction time.
On the ground floor, a single volume is created with the living area separated from the kitchen/dining room through a split-level.This stepping down the site allows for a direct interaction between the new living areas and the garden.
The upstairs is a long continuous strip divided by a staircase and linked by a light bridge.
The main bedroom extends as a continuous deck beyond the glass sliding walls capturing views of the surrounding nature and sea.
